Message When I returned from Iraq I shook no one's hand inside the Baltimore airport until they answered me when I asked if they voted for Obama while I was gone....a man who is "uncomfortable with the concept of victory" in military terms.

Was Bush "uncomfortable"?
Was Reagan "uncomfortable"?
Was Eisenhower "uncomfortable"?
Was Lincoln "uncomfortable"?
Was Washington "uncomfortable"?

I expect my boss, commander-in-chief, to have my back a little more than that

I am a veteran too. I have been shot at. I have run for cover from incoming mortars and rockets. I went someplace against the tearful wishes of my wife. Today is also my day, though I have done FAR less to earn it than those before me in my opinion.

I swore an oath to "support and defend" and "bear true faith and allegiance" to the Constitution. That is the CORE of my job. I take it seriously. I take it even more seriously now that it is under assault from some of today's politicians who have publicly referred to it as an obstacle.

So fuck you, if my 2 cents rubs you the wrong way. Your appreciation isn't a pre-requisite for my duties as a proud American citizen, a member of the American military, and a veteran. You don't get a pass from me for lip service if lip service is all you can tolerate performing.

That's a far higher level of respect than hollow lip service from people like you who support the very things those veterans fought, and many died fighting, against.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform."
--Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
--Winston Churchill
